It’s been 12 years of continuous accomplishments, growing from one location in downtown Sandusky, now with three locations, including our Berlin Heights Unit and Huron Youth Connection units, as well as our outreach programs at schools. Along with a name change a few years ago from Boys and Girls Club of Sandusky to Boys and Girls Club of Erie County; the demand continues to grow, affected by economic conditions; families need an inexpensive and safe place for kids to go for after school activities, help with homework, programming with trained staff, and a place to nourish their hunger. Through our programs and collaborations we provide this and more. The support of the community continues to be the hallmark of our existence. Local donations greatly impact every child in our programs. We greatly appreciate the support our community has given to us, from the local foundations, financial investors, parents of members, friends and neighbors, and corporate sponsors, together, through our hardworking board and dedicated staff; we have reached out and touched the lives of thousands of children in this community. Please consider us the next time you donate and know that your donation stays here in our communities. As we look forward to another school year we wish the best for you and your family.

“Not everybody has the time or resources to physically take a young person under their wing, but we have an opportunity for you to “adopt” a young person without incurring the responsibility of childcare, discipline or any of the other things that bog down a relationship with a young person. We will even help with homework!!”

Join our 300 Club! A donation of $300 to the Boys & Girls Club will cover the expenses of all the programs and activities for one child for one year. One hundred percent of your donation will stay here serving the youth of Erie County. Click here for more information on how you can help!

In its 2008 "Philanthropy 400" report, The Chronicle of Philanthropy ranked Boys & Girls Clubs of America as number 15 among all nonprofit organizations.

The following are some photos of the members of the Sandusky Boys & Girls Club on some summer field trips.  The first photo was taken at the Osborn Park Barnyard.  The kids had a good time feeding the animals, petting them and learning about all the animals there.  The second photo was taken at Castalia Quarry in Castalia, Ohio.  They took a 2 mile hike around and in the base of the Quarry.  The third photo was taken at the Hays Museum in Fremont, Ohio. The fourth photo was taken at the Sandusky Splash Pad during our record breaking heat wave.
