The Boys & Girls Club of Erie County is a youth serving organization with its main location in the downstairs area of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Sandusky, Ohio. Our mission is to provide youth between the ages of 6 and 18 with a safe and nurturing environment during non-school hours and in the summer. Research shows that the hours from after school to 8:00 p.m. are critical for many school-aged youth.

We opened our doors in November 1998 and since our inception, we've had over a thousand boys & girls visit our Club. We are open 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday. In 2009 we served over 1,000 youth.

We offer a variety of programs from 3 different locations throughout Erie County , including after-school homework help, individual tutoring in the summer, leadership clubs, arts and crafts, and programs that enhance life skills. Among these skill-targeted activities are Etiquette Club, Fitness Authority, Newsletter Club, Cooking Club. We take our members out into the community for activities ranging from community service opportunities, to summer swimming and fishing.
