According to the Guinness Book of World Records, a Russian man who lived in the 18th century fathered 69 children. But that's nothing compared to what a Perkins Township man has done. That man -- Gil Vaughn -- has been a father figure to more than 1,000 children, said his friend Mike McCall, secretary of Boys and Girls Club of Erie County.
